Default First camping trip of the season.

And Beanie's first time camping with us, possibly her first time camping, for all we know. We went to Harrisville State park on Lake Huron in northern lower Michigan. We went there last year and really liked it, our camp site was almost on the beach, just a short path to the beach. The weather wasn't the best, cold and rainy most of the time, it dried up enough to have a fire late Monday afternoon. Tuesday was finally warm and sunny but we had to pack up and head home.

Beanie did really well and seemed to enjoy herself. She did want to bark a bit at people and dogs walking by but not too badly.

The big down side to this camp ground is dogs aren't allowed on the beach, but there is a dog-friendly beach at the north end of the park. Here is the "dog beach". Yes, that is the whole "dog beach".

A few other pics of Wonka and Beanie camping.

Amy & Wonka all bundled up for the cold. We had to go and buy gloves and a sweatshirt because we didn't pack enough cold-weather clothes.

    A few beach pictures.
This is looking East in the evening at sunset.

And Lake Huron late Tuesday morning.

A cold, rainy day camping still beats a day working. Really beautiful place even if there isn't too much of a dog beach. Wonka and Amy bundled up together and little Beanie snuggled in her bed look like the perfect way to camp to me.
We never touch people so lightly that we don't leave a trace.

I've always enjoyed looking at your Michigan vacation pictures with the pugs.
