What a lovely update... We all trundle along... I have my "honorary" pugs: Ohna (12yo Rattie): she still catches chipmunks and snakes and "dispatches" them in a way that I never recognize/see them again!, and Decker, my *beginning* to mellow, 4yo Min Pin. He's dedicated to learning to read my mind.. and to alert me about the world Out There! a Leaf falling! A fish at the surface of the riverwater! A pedesterian a block away!

Ayleash ... Sponsor of the Pugs: Captain and Niko, and Pack leader of: Tigger (2005-2016), and ...My SECOND rescue Terrier... a girl for Tigger... Ohna... and now... DECKER!! (The Dog Formerly Known As (TDFKA) Batman!)

Wow, Brodix is 17 now and Eddie is 14?!?! The years go by so fast... It is so difficult when they are seniors and we know that time is growing shorter.

I'm glad that Eddie's scream is still intact! Our Wonka is 14.5 now and his Pug Scream is louder than ever!! As his hearing has faded he has compensated by screaming louder! I'm glad that Eddie's sniffer is still working well and that he seems to find his way around ok. Sorry to hear about the wet crate though. I wonder if a pee pad would help keep him more comfortable? They make a fabric type that is designed for incontinent humans to put on the bed, it has a leak proof backing and a stay-dry top. We have three that I got from Amazon and they are machine washable. Or, a Belly Band with a feminine pad/liner to absorb the pee?

Sorry to hear that Roxie has continued to struggle with lung infections. It sounds like you and your vet have a good plan in place though to keep her as comfortable as possible for as long as possible. Does she still use an inhaler as well? Or did that not work well? Poor little girl has had a rough go of it, but you are awesome pug parents and have given her the best life possible!!

Give them all a snuggle from me (and a little treat!) I'd love to see pictures of them if you can figure out the picture posting.
Thanks Amy. We do use a pee pad in Eds crate. We have discovered that he likes to pee in the back of his crate so we bought a new smaller bed for him that fits at the front and use a pee pad and a towel at the back of the crate to pee on. He prefers to pee on something other than the pee pads. So now when we come home we only have to wash the towel and not his bed. It was getting harder and harder to get the pee smell out.
Roxie is still using her inhaler along with theophylline. She is our high maintenance girl, lol.
So glad to hear that Wonka is using his voice to let you know how much he appreciates you.

So far Eddie is not in any pain with his eyes. I am afraid if we had to take that route he would not survive the surgery.
Our daughter is doing good. She was still having quite a few relapses from her MS so they have now decided to switch her medication. She will be getting Ocrevus, which is an infusion that she will get 2 times a year. No more pills or flushing from the pills. I am a bit nervous because it is a fairly new drug, only out for 10 years and being used for 1 1/2 years. There are a few side effects but she wants to try it. I am hoping that this will stop the relapses and having to use iv steroids.
Thank you for asking about her.
