Yesterday all the teachers went to their classroom for an hour to gather stuff we need, there were 10 in the building at a time.
Then I watched while they distributed the free lunches to the kids, the family drove up in a car, gave the count, then the lunches were put on a cart wheeled to the window of the car and the driver took them off the cart and put them into the car. No contact, and the worker wore gloves.

That seems like a good way to do it! Our school lunches are going out via the bus route and being handed off to the family from the door of the bus, someone from the family has to come out to the bus to meet it. That seems to be working ok, for the most part. But I saw a photo in the newspaper of them getting the meals ready and there were 5 people all clustered around the boxes with the meals (reaching across each other, less than a foot apart) and none were wearing gloves.Sigh. I feel like a LOT of people in this area are still not taking it seriously.

I had a deli delivery (owner has been offering this in a few towns adjacent to ours since he lives in ours)... and payment was to be by check only. I left it out in a sealed sandwich bag... since my barking doorbells (dogs) would not let the delivery arrive without notifying me! (I.e. the food wasn't out there long enough to be eaten/stolen by some other wandering/wild critter!
But... I was uncomfortable getting delivery, since I am still able to go out... on the flipside... I really did NOT feel comfortable when I did last go out... so it's all a bit more distressing than I had prepared for... I don't need to go out for a good bit now (well, to our dump where they are limiting number of cars at a time in, and I think pulling the bagged trash from our cars to the dumpsters for us)...
Here's a good article about the CHEMISTRY of our minds when we feel afraid... it makes a lot of sense about panic/fear and what it's doing to us - good to know, but I hope it's not used in a courtroom to defend someone's actions!

This was tip money . I like to give cash so they don’t really have to report it.

I saw a guy at the store yesterday (I had to get water) wearing something almost identical to that! He had on the mask, gloves, and a rain jacket and rain boots!
