Our central A/C died last night. No a/c in south Louisiana is horrible. We had several fans going all night, I'm not sure what is worse the roar of the big fan or the heat and humidity.
We were lucky to get a service man out early this morning. He got us up and running temporarily and set us up with a sales representative tomorrow morning. Our system is 20 years old so really can't complain
Here is Elvis trying to stay cool in front of a fan and some pictures of them helping the repair guy. He was so good with them. Calling them to come as he went in and out.

Glad you got your a/c fixed ok for now under Elvis and Buddy’s supervision!
We don’t generally have a/c in U.K. homes but it was 104F outside on my patio Friday and we’ve got a few more super hot days to come next week too so I’m always thinking then maybe I should at least get an aircon unit! Charla came up with a brilliant idea though - suggested I put a fan directed upwards at the bottom of the cellar stairs as it always stays very cold down there. Managed to keep the downstairs interior house temperature to 75F like that!

We had to have the downstairs heat pump replaced about 6months ago, thankfully before the real heat started but we're holding our breath on the upstairs one! Hope you get it all fixed quickly.

Things like this never happen on a Monday morning during Spring or Fall. No, it happens Friday afternoon through Sunday morning in the middle of Winter or Summer. Three years ago this month the same thing happened to me on a Friday afternoon. One company that had done work for me before said they couldn't get to me for a week. Fortunately, the next company I called came out that afternoon and installed a new unit the very next morning.
Needless to say, they have had my business and recommendations ever since. Hope the temporary fix will last until the new unit gets installed.
We never touch people so lightly that we don't leave a trace.
Love the pictures. The top one is hilarious!
The AC always goes out on the hottest day. Always.
I hope the repair guy/installer is not backed up.
