Treats

Could some of you share with me the type of treats you give your pups for training and just every day. I was told to use cheerios. Would like to try something else.

Zuke's is a great training treat! We use them for rewards.

Bil Jacks Vet Dog treats supports the program training service dogs for Vets. Hercules came with Pupperoni "addiction" I am trying to ween him off but he loves them so I break them into little pieces.

As "daily treats" we like Zuke's Minis and also the Wellness soft Wellbites, which get cut/torn into about 4-6 pieces. We also use Cheerios. And for "extra special" training treats we use things like tiny cut up pieces of cheese or chicken or anything smelly and yummy.

Thank you all. I will get some of the in for special times. Cheerios work fine. Old boss/vet told people that they were not as fattening for dogs that tend to get heavy.

I keep baby carrots to slice for my boys. Elvis is so addicted to them, he will turn down normal dog treats or go hide them for us to find later.
