This group is not like that, they do not allow ads. I would not be in it if it was like that. Just thought I would give you another place to try. I'm not a big poster on there but I do read it.

I appreciate the suggestion. Its a bit far aways though. I don't mind a day or two on the road if I had. =]

I'm sorry you are having so much trouble finding a pug.
Just a thought.... Have you tried setting up an auto-search for Pugs on https://www.adoptapet.com/ ? You can set it up to search "pugs" within, say, 50 or 100 miles and then you get an email when one is posted to the site. That's actually how we discovered that our local humane society shelter had taken in a black girl pug and then we adopted Beanie. I wouldn't have known about her if not for the automatic email that gets sent out to me whenever a pug is posted nearby. The feature is a bit buggy at times and I think it depends on how the shelter lists the dog's breed - sometimes I get an email and think "that looks nothing like a pug!"

I feel the frustration! I paid $1500 for a dog (not a pug). That was one of the most stupid things I have done. I will never pay that much for a puppy.
My first pug was $400. Second pug was adopted from a shelter. Can't remember the fee. Ally was $450. I am on a list for a puppy that is priced at $500.
    What state are you in?
I am in Indiana. I have been searching for the past couple years. I can't adopt from a pug rescue. (I don't meet the requirements for one and I don't want to deal with all the hoops they make you go through. I know they want the best for their dogs but they need to ease up on the ridiculous requirements. )
I have checked local shelters and those around me. No luck.

Oh I forgot Bear! How on earth did I forget him! He was free but had medical problems that weren't disclosed to me and sadly he passed with in a week of getting him.
