Mary Jo and Rona have me beat for keeping pugs, show dogs and rescues and warm friends. But John Ott stands alone, like the trophy your great grandfather kept on that special shelf you could admire but never touch. There will never be another, there never could be another John Ott.

I don't think we qualify for oldest or fluffiest but Samson is "8 going on 105" does that count?

We *think* Rocky is about 15 1/2. We adopted him in 1990 on July 31st and the thinking was he was about 3 then. So, we made his birthday the day we adopted him, therefore he will be 16 on July 31st of this year!

Mandy is 13.5, so she's not the oldest. She weighs about 19-20 lbs, so she's definitely not the heaviest. My first pug was a pug mix named Pudgy that we got from the pound when I was maybe 6 years old, got him for my older brother. We kids thought he was a baby boxer. I am 51, so that would be about what....45 years? Yikes.
My family got purebred pugs not long after we found Pudgy---Pearl a sweet black girl who lived to be an old blind lady, and her son Goldie who was probably what you'd call a silver fawn, and also lived to a ripe old age.

Shirley Thomas, who's president of the Pug Dog Club of Greater New York has a 20 year old pug...If I'm that fortunate with Cyril, he'll be with me long after I retire!

    Cool

Ebony's age is estimated to be somewhere between 4 and 5 years. Her weight is 18 pounds. We have been pugged since Dec. 30, 2003. We (unfortunately) don't qualify for anything .......

Hoover would have been around 8 1/2 now and he was our first pug. So we don't win there! How about crankiest pug?? I could win that hands down!

I was "officially" pugged on April 26, 2002 - the day that we adopted our dear Pugsy. She is believed to be around 11 or 12 now (I like to give her the benefit of the doubt & say that she's 11! ), so she's not the oldest pug here yet. Buster weighs about 25 pounds, so he's probably not the biggest. Oh well....we don't qualify for anything either, but what a fun topic!

I think Homer might be one of the heaviest pugs here... He's 32 pounds
