Pug Quirks

[Huckleberry]

I'm not sure which of us needs it more, but when Abbt goes to bed with me, I turn my back on her and she turns her back on me but it is the touching of her butt to my back that relaxes us both into sleep. If she doesn't do it say, when I'm on a trip, I can hardly sleep.

However, I do wonder if any other Pug in the world stares down her food for a half hour or so before she even sniffs it. Why? Is this weird? Or is this a Pug thing?

Mollie licks the air [yeah, i dunno..] and when she sleeps, she has to be near me...and if she can't, she has to be near someone. Sometimes she won't sleep unless she's on my chest or the small of my back or even above my head!

She also likes to lick my macbook. I usually don't let her since it's an expensive toy and everything, but it makes me laugh so hard, then she tries to chew it and it's a definite no-no. She chases her tail, sometimes she sits her butt on the ground and runs around trying to get the tail . Also, when she sees anybody, if it's anybody she knows or somebody new, she FREAKS out and goes nuts and when you hold her, she waves her front paws around like she's trying to give you a double high five.

Besides the cute stuff, she'll lick walls. I'll be trying to go to bed at night and she'll be licking and scratching at my wall...i don't know about her sometimes

She also hates the rain, so i have to bring a umbrella out with me and she refuses to go potty unless i'm standing right above her with the umbrella so she can go potty. When it's not raining, she only goes potty in trees/leafy areas, it's like she's trying to hide from me so i don't see her go to the bathroom.

Clyde must sniff my right eye when I wear my contact lenses. He even tries to lick my eye.

Puglet barks at any animal (or cartoon animal) that dares to come on our TV.

He is also obsessed with trying to "catch" the tongues of my friend's Labradors (see links for pictures :)

LuLu licks the air for no reason, and she gets happy she spins on her butt and licks the air at the same time (asked about this and she doesnt have gland or worm problems).

She smacks her lips when she's watching my cook and of course responds to me when I talk to her about cooking with her monstor face (tilt with tongue part out and underbite out).

She wont eat her cookies unless I'm there. She's dropped them to make a faint howl at me to follow her to the carpet and I have to lay on the carpet with her.

She monstor mashes. When shes happy she mashes her face into me and Scott. Also she sometimes crashes onto the floor and starts wiggling on her side like a fish and turning over to mash her face into the floor.

She likes to lay between my legs on the couch and she licks both legs and feet like crazy. She does not lick anyone else's feet or legs, just mine. Sometimes too she has humped on the couch while she's laying there and started to lick on my legs which intensifies the humping. I get so violated in this unwilling threesome with the couch and her.

Well, let's see .... Buster loves to lick your feet, your legs, the couch, the kitchen floor (even though there's no food there), the outside of the frig and my kitchen cabinets. He runs around the bathroom like a crazed nut before his bath, then jumps into the tub when the door is opened and sits looking at you like what are you looking at? He's still young so I expect he'll get more as he gets older ... just like me.

Bart HAS to be touching me. No matter where I'm at or what I'm doing. He will often stand on the side of the bathtub when I'm in the shower and peak his head around the curtain. He has to be under the covers no matter how hot or cold, and he has to be touching me. He's our resident ear/eye/face cleaner.

Marge... She likes to lick your hands. That is the only place she licks. When she drinks she likes to dunk her whole head in the bowl, so her neck is like dripping wet.

Homer... he's a major licker! He'll lick the sheets/blankets/couch/stuffed toys, forever unless we stop him. He goes crazy at night licking things when we're going to be. he has one toy that is his and doesn't like anyone else to have.. his soccer ball that he's had since he was like 4 months old.. he sleeps with it and everything!

oh one other thing about Bart..

He sleeps no later then 6:25 am .... every single day. He will start pacing the bed at 6:12 (yes I look at the clock without him seeing me open my eyes), and I ignore him for a little while, hoping to sleep in a little bit.. He'll lay down with his face DIRECTLY in my face and huff. By 6:22, he's digging on my blanket, tossing it up (like he's trying to get under it, but it's pulling the blanket off me), and 6:25 he's in our faces, sniffing/licking/and doing this quiet bark thing... and then we're all up and go outside for potty, and he'll run right outside and go, but he hasn't realized just cuz he went quickly he doesn't get to go in right away and eat, he has to wait for Homer & Marge to go. After he goes potty and we're still walking, he'll stop every few feet and turn around and look at the house/driveway like "i already went to the bathroom, I'm hungry, let's go back home now!"

Zeena is the constant kisser here...wants to kiss everyone all the time

Monkey....likes to lick legs fresh out of the shower (so much for the "clean" factor )

Piggy runs to the patio when they go out... when it's time to come in he stays up there, waits until the other two are in the house, sings a few tunes, and then makes mommy come back outside to get him...from the patio and personally escort him back inside.

Cubby insists on coming with me to the bathroom during shower time...he then sits at the end with his head poked in (I assume he is making sure I do not disappear?)

All 3 lick the sheets at night... making for quite a challenging situation to not lay in a wet spot!
