Meet my new baby! I haven't named her yet. I guess it's still part of the healing process I'm having after losing my baby Jade. She's apricot, born Easter Sunday 4-8-07 (12 weeks old yesterday).

Maybe I'm crazy for not waiting but I just couldn't do it.

I've already started ViralMd's potty training routine and she has already gone outside twice for Mommy!

Paul is in love already. We just had to have our puggie love.

Oh Pat - I am so glad you did this!!! I am sure Jade is looking down saying "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!" It is a wonderful testament to what Jade meant to you to do this, and to do it without delay. Nothing will ever replace Jade and her memory is stored forever in your hearts, but there is no limit to how much your heart can expand to take in more little pugs to love.

Thank you Rona! I just couldn't imagine going through days, weeks or months before I held a pug again. She is very loving. Lots of kisses and tail wagging!

She isn't crate trained and she did not like it when I put her in it so for tonight she is in the carrier. She seems to feel very safe in there as it is enclosed and she has a blankie with her. The crate I have is an open wire crate so I'll take it slowly. Not too much stress for her all at once.

Oh Pat, I'm so very pleased that you have welcomed another Pug into your life. I know it is only a short time since Jade went to the bridge, but this little one is going to help soothe the shock and take away some of the pain of losing Jade. She has a big job to do, bless her. We looking forward to seeing her grow up

I have to say that when I first picked her up and held her at the breeder's I cried and cried. It was so emotional. I don't expect her to "be" Jade. She is her own little puggie, but that is what I need right now.

Like others have said, she can never replace Jade but I'm certain that she will have just as much love
