My goodness - I think that you are more prepaired than anyone I know whoe brought home a baby (skin or fur).


And I completly neglected to add - It's beautiful!

I KNOW how anxious you are to have your baby home. How old will she be??

The reason I am asking is the ONLY suggestion I have is if she isn't 10-12 weeks of age yet, you hold off a tiny bit longer bringing her home. It is healthier for her to stay with mama that much longer, and she learns bite-hibition at about 10 weeks of age. Not to mention she will have less separation anxiety and be more socialized and ready to go it on her own in her own home.

If she is over 10 weeks old when you get her, the above paragraph isn't needed. :cheshire:

We will be getting her at 8 week old. This is what the breeder (of good reputaion) recomends. It seems a lot of people get there puppy at 6 weeks.

From what Ive been told it seems the norm in the UK is 6 to 8 weeks.

I don't know any breeders around here with a good reputation that will let you take a puppy home at 8 weeks old. Really 12 weeks is the norm. That being said a lot of breeders let there puppies go home at 8 weeks old only because its cheaper for them, they don't have to feed or do anything else after 8 week then. 12 weeks really is the best for the puppy.

Her area looks so ready for her! I agree 8 weeks is young, but I know you are excited. Just plan on dealing with biting and other issues that are taken care of when pups stay with their litter mates a bit longer. Hopefully uou or your wife will be home a lot and have a ton of patience.

We brought Co-Pilot home at 16 weeks and while I did miss her being tiny, I would not change it for a thing, she was so calm when we brought her home and no biting! Of course she was purchased as a show dog, so the breeders typically wait long on those.

I have some news for you, a package for Daisy arrived today and will be headed to the UK On Monday!!!!!
