Candy,
You are smart to research this question for yourself. Looking online for information and asking your vet are always smart moves if someone tells you something that sounds weird to you.
Brodie is perfect just the way he is. We'd love to see pictures of him!
I agree, I would rather have the questions asked than not asked and bad decisions being made. I just worked the Minnesota State Fair all day yesterday for the Rescue, and I got many many questions. A couple times I had to remind myself that just because I have become very knowledgable about pugs, 6 years ago I didn't have the first clue about them, and probably would've asked the same question. I'm just glad that they are asked, because it gives me the chance to educate!
And yea, there's definitely cliques on PV. But I know that no one here is any better or worse than me, we are all human beings with a passion for pugs, and I can see that and accept people for who they are. If others can't do that, then I figure it's their problem and they're wasting alot of energy "not liking" others, when there are alot of better ways and places in life to expend energy- especially when I believe everyone has a "life" outside of PV!
Everyone was raised in a different background with different circumstances, and I think that's the beauty of PV- a very diverse group of people that keeps things interesting!
Candy, Welcome to the village! I'm new here also and have a sweet baby girl named Bella. Wow, your thread has generated 25 posts! How's your puggie doing? There's always a lot of good advice here, so keep coming back. Please send pics or let us know how things are going! This is a late night post, I work swing shift.
The cliquish.....yes!!! there ARE cliques here at Pv! Anywhere you go you will find these!
But being new, what is not understood a lot of these people have known each other for years, and some have a lot in common off the board as well as they do on the board also.
I noticed this from the beginning when I first started, and yeah it makes you feel outta place. BUT I just joined in with the rest of them, and Im here to learn about pugs and etc. I found out the more I posted, the more people got to know me and about me. Accidently I become friends with quite a few people without even trying
I found chat and joined in there when there was an invitiation that someone was in there, and I felt better after that!
You are totally right! About the question!!! Im so glad it was asked! It's people that are 'mis imformed' that makes silly mistakes, and at least you DID come here and ask before just doing it.
Did anyone else notice that Candy said Thank You???
Your Welcome Candy!
I can't find anything about cropping a Pugs tail, only that way back when their ears use to be cropped. I won't lie before this site I only knew that Pugs were cute and that i wanted one.
But my boyfriends Aunt; who breeds Irish Setters(?) and use to be a vet or something, runs a dog stay when people go away place(don't know what to call it) and goes to many dog shows; said that we should get my pug Brodie's tail cropped, I don't see why, exspecial if the more their tail curls the better, but i don't know.
Could someone please tell me cuz if it's not needed and not necessary I'd rather not, that and he's now 2mths and isn't that normally done when a puppy is only a few days old? HELP PLEASE!!
Thanx!
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE NOS, I REALLY DIDN'T THINK SO OR WANT TO BUT I NEEDED PROVE THAT SHE WAS WRONG. AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL WHO ANSWERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
