Wow. I've not been around much lately and today I see this thread. What a wonderful, caring person you are and how lucky was your "friend" that you were around when Flo needed you most.

I hope the story has a happy ending. Please keep us posted. Give Flo a huge hug from me...

Having just reweighed the puppies I am delighted to say 4/5 have made an excellent weight gain the biggest is now 212g (7.5 US oz)
The remaining 1/5 is obviously the tiny one, his weight is now 92g (3.25oz). I rechecked his mouth and the cleft is more significant than I inititially thought, it is just his soft palate that is affected but there is a definate gap there. I am still planning to carry on with him but I don't think he'll make it.
Will keep praying for him and snuggling him, it might work but if not he will have been loved.
Thankyou for all your continued prayers and support.

Oh that sweet tiny baby. He is so lucky to know he is loved so much. Prayers that he will get stronger and be ok. He is so tiny. I hope all the babies have a wonderful life ahead of them.

You've done a fabulous job and taken such good care of that little mommy and her babies.

If you lose the little one don't be hard on yourself because you could never have done more. As you say he has been loved.......not only by you but by a whole village!!
    He may just make it.
Would tubing be better for him by passing the palate and having the food pumped straight into his stomach?
May be the vet can give you an idea tomorrow, if this palate can be closed at a later date.

    You must be exhausted
We're all here willing you on, someone will no doubt be around 24/7

    Smile Puppy pics

I just thought i'd give a quick update, I think pics are probably the best way to do it,

    Waking up for a feed...

    Siblings snacking too...

    Largest and smallest...

and finally a small drink from momma puggie...

We have a vet appointment at 9-30 tomorrow, I called the emergency vet and THANK GOD it was my own vet, she said if we are prepared to tube feed until pup is heavy enough for an anaestetic it should not be a big problem to close the soft palate so we're not out of the woods but things are looking up!

Thanks for the update. Good luck with the little one. I know I'm rooting for him as hard as you are.

I'm pretty sure there would be wide agreement around these parts that you are the PV Member of the Year.

    I salute you.

I just found the thread and read through all the posts. I hope that lady appreciates what you have done for that mamma and her babies. I think something was looking over her, and it was very lucky for her to have had you looking after her during this time, and not that woman. I wish the best for them all, and am rooting for the little one to live, and to remain with you.

I'm sending mega good thoughts from my corner of Nevada. MEGA good thoughts!!!

We are all rooting for you and all the pups, but especially Littlie, as he needs extra prayers.
