Seriously! I saw an ad on craigslist from the Canine Cognition Lab in the Animal Studies Dept. at Harvard U to study behaviors in dogs. They were looking for any breed, any age, just need not be aggressive and have a rabies shot. So of course I had to make sure a pug represented!
They asked us to come in this Saturday and it should be about an hour long. I get to stay and observe. They will be studying how dogs react to praise and treats, weather they will wait for the food or respond better to human praise immediately. So, I'm thinking Chloe will be all over the food, but who knows. There isn't a stipend, which is fine with us. They will give her some new toys for her / our time.
I'm just glad to be a part of it and help in their studies. For the record, I think she should receive a diploma for completing and perfecting the "Head Tilt" if nothing else!

Very cool! But if my pug is any representation, there isn't going to be any competition between "food" and "praise" as rewards.

That sounds like fun! I'm looking forward to hearing about it.

That sounds cool! And I feel comfortable with Chloe representing the breed! I can't wait to hear how it goes!
sounds fun! I too think there would be no competition between food and praise for Otto, he would rather have the treats for any amount of activity he produces
