Default I Have a Question About Angel.

She will spend alot of her time "cleaning" Badger or Bugsy. These are the only 2 she does this with...but from their ears to their tail she will lick, lick, lick likes she's cleaning them. Angel came from a puppy mill...could she be doing this like they are her pups? Or am I reading too much into it and she just likes to lick them?

She could be mothering them as if they are pups, but it's hard to say. Wonka loves to lick, lick, lick at Nilla and I'm sure it's not a "mothering instinct" with him! He just likes to lick. Sometimes he's trying to egg Nilla on and get her to play, sometimes he just seems to be satisfying some obsessive urge to lick.

I just think some like to lick more than others. When Bella was a pup she used to lick Roxy, but now she is grown so Roxy no longer will stand for it. Now Toby is our licker, he licks Bella's ears, drives me bonkers, slurp slurp.

Mine will "kiss" eachother, especially when they're excited. However, neither of them licks the other any other time. I think it's pretty normal, though. I've heard of lots of pugs that do.

Our Beebee often licks the face and ears of Brady. I used to think it was kind of nurturing, now I think it might be a dominance thing with our little diva girl. She bosses him around the place. She doesn't lick Oscar much though, but then she kind of gives him more freedom of movement than she does Brady too.

She also licks my husband's face a lot!
I am the only one she will listen to, so she doesn't lick my face much.

Ok, I was told that mill pugs would lick and eat hair to feel full. Due to lack of food. Not sure that is the case now of course, but it may have created that habit....

Rosie is our resident ear and face cleaner! She thoroughly washes everyones ears and face every morning and every night!! I'm sure she'd wash the cats to if they let her, LOL! She has done this since we brought her home at 8 weeks and she's 7 months and still does it so I don't know if she's mothering or obsessive, but no one seems to mind so I don't worry about it.
