Dry food and raw digest at different rates. We just switched straight up with no ill effects.

he has some biscuits mixed with liver sometimes but he doesn't eat it if he has it too often.

Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula with Life Source Bits for Small Breed Adult. My puppy gets the same thing for small breed puppies. It has done them well, although he gets some rank gas every now and again.

Blue Buffalo has been caught lying on their labels about what really is in their dog food.

We feed the natural balance small breed. Poe really likes it and I chose it because it is formulated for puppy to adult, So when he is 1 I will not have to transition him again. We are doing the chicken and sweet potato flavor right now. It is grain free, I also by the same brand treats for Poe. He does well with those too.

Bear is extremely picky about what he eats. I feed him Blue Buffalo Basics because #1 He has a very sensitive stomach and #2 He absolutely loves it. I will mix in a little Blue Buffalo Basics wet food occasionally as well and he cannot get enough of it. I also give him a multivitamin everyday just to make sure he gets his everything he needs.
