Post 4 mo Jake is does not want to go outside.

Hi all!! i'm new to pug village and have seen awesome tips for training, the problem is my small 4 month old pug simply refuses to go outside, i have tried snacks, toys, carrying him around to see if he gets comfortable with the area, but all he seems to want to do is run back between my feet, or try running to the door. does anyone know if maybe he's too young? or is there a way to get him to go outside without being scared? since i want to potty train him to eliminate in the yard. thanks!!!

First it seems you have to overcome his fear/attachment... Can you make the space you go to small, contained and safe to start.. and can you feed him out there? I suspect he will adjust, and then get curiousier about sniffing the OTHEr smells when the food is gone...

Thanks! I've tried to move him to a smaller are and it works , but how about a walk around the block? That would be closer to what I'm trying to accomplish but when we approach front gate... He just kicks his paws in all directions and won't budge!! Please help :.(
