DefaultPuppy Biting: What am I doing wrong?

Nora is now 4 1/2 months old. She gets so hyper sometimes and just turns into a wild animal. She jumps up and bites, even when I'm trying to distract her with a toy. She'll grab my feet, my hands, the back of my arms and bite HARD! All the while she's running 100 mph around me. I usually try and swoop her up, and go put her in her crate for a time out and to let her settle down when this happens. Is this what I should be doing? I'm praying this is something she'll outgrow. Our last pug, Rosey, was so gentle, calm, and would NEVER bite. This time around with Nora....I'm at a loss. I have started "puppy preschool" with her which is an obedience class, but we're only a few weeks in. She also went to doggie daycare for the first time last week for just a half day and LOVED it. It took her two days to get her energy back since she was so tired out from her day away. I'm at home everyday, so she's always with someone. Should I be crating her more during the day for sleep time? How many hours per day should she be sleeping at this point? I'm wondering if she's just so over-stimulated she goes bonkers? Thank you, Pug Village friends for any advice.

My Lucy is 5 months and does the same thing, she is calming down slightly but still doing pugtonas and nipping a lot. I have a bunch of toys and tell her no and redirect her, I have a empty coke can with pennies in it I sometime shake and say no, also a member on her uses a squirt bottle. It is really all part of puppyhood. Lucy is mt 4th pug and my other three were also not as hyper as her. I do play fetch and take her for walks and my yard in big so she get a lot of exercise.

Most Pug puppies are bitey, little land sharks. You are doing the right things by taking her to Puppy Preschool and Daycare and redirecting her or giving her a brief time out when she gets to be too much. The good news is she WILL outgrow it. It's a tough phase to go through, though.

There are many post with members asking the exact same questions.
I also had my first Pug being mellow and laid back .While our 2nd was wild and untamed . He is now a Therapy dog and just a joy . Just keep a good routine . A puppy class is great. I believe the wilder puppies are just to smart for their own good . And yes Pug puppies can get overstimulated.
