Default Getting Malicious Link warning and deletion

Is anyone else getting this: verticalscope is trying to download malicious software every time I open the webpage and every time I try to open a message. My virus software is deleting it every time but something is wrong here? Does anyone know why this is happening?

Hmmmm, that is scary! I have not seen this problem. I'm glad your software is blocking it... I wish I could tell you why it's happening.

It could be that an ad being served by Google is triggering your anti-virus software to give a false-positive reading. If you continue getting this alert from your anti-virus software, can you provide a screenshot to us to see what your software is telling you?

I'm getting this today. I got the warning before I had signed in, and again after. Don't know how to screenshot, and it wouldn't let me copy/paste. This is what it says though:

From my Avast!: Infection blocked. Infection details:
    URL: http://extracted.kollabos.com/strong...istakes/min.js
    Infection: URL:Mal
    Process: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

It gave me the option to treat as a false positive, but since I don't know that it is, I allowed it to block. Going to run a scan in case it's something I've picked up on my end.

I don't think its on your end myboysRmylife because I just got the exact same message as you did. I also have Firefox and am running Avast Antivirus.

That's a bit of a relief, Amber! I did run a scan and had 23 items to purge; hopefully that takes care of it. I try to scan weekly, but was probably overdue.

    Hi everyone,

Is your anti-virus software still giving you these alerts as of today?

Yung, I got the same warning once yesterday but with a different URL cited. Nothing since. Thanks!

Yesterday was bad for me. Every time I clicked anything on PV I got the error message. I think it was a different URL too. Today...not a single one. Yay!
